Taste of Osage County was a perfect day in the park!

Don’t know what to say, except thank you to everyone for making the event unforgettable! Sun was shining. Cool breezes and shady trees kept a smile on everyone’s face. The brats and pork burgers disappeared — and honey ice cream was a hit in my book! Artie’s Univibe played for a packed pavilion while a big fire truck, barrel train and horse rides kept the little people engaged. People walked away with bags of produce, handmade foods, crafted goods, and useful information, too. It was an excellent day!

Five more days!

Five more days before Taste of Osage County in Linn City Park! Chance of rain is around 20 percent for the afternoon. Saturday promises to be a nice cool, little overcast day to spend in the park — perfect, right?

Watch for advertising in the Gasconade County Republican and Maries County Advocate newspapers this week — and continuing coverage in the Jefferson City News Tribune and the Osage County Unterrified Democrat. We might even be on the KRCG TV community event announcements!

We are now featuring honey ice cream, new this year from the Honey Ice Cream Company — Missouri homemade! Joe’s Market in Westphalia is providing their own pork burgers and brats, too. They have lots of local fans already.

City of Linn Hosting Church picnic and Taste of Osage County!

It’s June — only about 20 days left before Taste of Osage County 2017! Join us for updates and planning June 7, 7 pm, Administration Building, Linn.

BIG NEWS, too! St George Catholic Church parishioners changed their summer picnic date to Saturday, June 24, so they will be just down the street with more good food and other things to do. It seems that The City of Linn will be the place to be for food and fun the entire day.

Join us:
Artie’s Univibe will play from 1 to 3 pm in the pavilion; we’ll have brats and pork burgers for food to eat in the pavilion or on the grass; put your name in for the basket raffle of goods from all vendors; and mostly enjoy all booths with good foods and spirits along shady paths in Linn City Park.

Save the date for Taste of Osage County 2017!

Save the date for Taste of Osage County, June 24, 2017, 1 to 5 pm, Linn City Park. We bring producers, makers, shakers, and artisans together for one day in beautiful Linn City Park. Bring your life’s work and tell your story to people from near and far. It’s all about hand grown, hand raised, handmade and brain stormed by all of us in east central Missouri.

The Osage County Agritourism Council, University of Missouri Extension and City of Linn work to advertise in a large region including Columbia, Jefferson City, Rolla and St. Louis. We welcome vendors from in and all around Osage County for a very small fee per table, only $25.

If you would like to be a vendor in the park, contact the Council Taste Coordinator and watch for more information here and Facebook.com/WeLoveFarmers
